1. This is a segment of the 2012 Crossmen tour DVD. The corps ballad was a song by Peter Gabriel titled Here Comes the Flood. The colorguard member is Chadd Hartman. This was a very powerful and emotive part of the corps show, and I wanted to capture that from the perspective of someone performing it.

  2. My Cousin Beau turned 9 this August. I filmed this video so that she can remember the event for years to come!

I used a Canon t2i and an old 28-80 lens for most of it. The opening few shots are with a 50mm 1.8 and the kit lens.

  3. This video was created to showcase the Crossmen colorguard from an angle not commonly seen! The idea for this video was a complete accident. I was walking by the guard as they warmed up in the parking lot, when much to my dismay i stepped in a puddle! Upon looking down, I saw the flag line spinning in another puddle. I proceeded to shoot all of 'lot' shots during that warm-up in Pittsburgh. The interview was with guard captain Ian Mullen, who had some great insights on what it means to be a part of the Crossmen

  4. Veteran members of the world class Crossmen Drum and Bugle corps weigh in on their experiences with the corps, and what it means to be a part of such a tight-knit community.

The Crossmen are made up of 150 young adults ages 15-21, who give up their entire summers to travel the country and compete against other world class corps. Members rehearse outside in the summer heat upwards of 12 hours a day, performing challenging music at grueling tempos. It is a life changing and musically enriching experience.

For more information on the corps and the drum corps activity visit Crossmen.org and DCI.org, respectively.

  5. This Christmas, I wanted to learn more about a 100 year old tradition within my family. I grew up seeing the women in my family bake this bread together every year. While I knew that it began in France, I never knew exactly how or why it started. I learned so much about my great-grandmother in the process of interviewing various family members!

I hope that this short documentary will be viewed for years to come by members of my family, so they can remember the story behind this great and delicious tradition!

If anyone has any historical information on the tradition of "Jesus bread" and getting loaves of bread blessed by priests, please let me know!
