Kyla recently returned from Nairobi, Kenya where she dedicated over 6 months to help establish a primary care clinic at Shining Hope for Communities in the heart of Kibera - one of Africa's largest slums.
In March, I visited Kyla in Nairobi and had the opportunity to see the result of the hard work she and a small group of Americans and Kenyans had done to empower women and create positive change in Kibera.
In this video, Kyla, and her colleague Ilana Nelson-Greenberg, share some of their thoughts about the challenges faced by women in Kibera and the clinic they helped to create.
This is a video about some of the amazingly courageous women who live with HIV in the Kibera Slum outside Nairobi in Kenya, Africa. They have been supplied an opportunity to build their future by AfricaHEART.com and this is a video showing a little bit of what the daily life looks like for them. More will be posted in the future. Please pass it along to raise awareness for this organization and consider donating to them or visiting them in the future.
