Hyper-Matrix is a kinetic landscape installation created for the Hyundai Motor Group Exhibition Pavilion in Korea, the 2012 Yeosu EXPO site. The installation consists of a specially made huge steel construction to support thousands of stepper motors that control 320x320mm cubes that project out of the internal facade of the building. The foam cubes are mounted to actuators that move them forward and back by the steppers, creating patterns across the three-sided display. Comprised of what at first appear to be three blank white walls, Hyper-Matrix installation quickly comes to life as thousands of individual cubic units forming a field of pixels begin to move, pulsate, and form dynamic images across the room, creating infinite number of possibilities in the vertical, 180 degree, landscape. In addition, as the boxes are arranged at only 5mm narrow intervals, the wall can also be a nice moving screen for the images projected on to it.

Quadrature is a audio/visual performance project by Griduo* in collaboration with Due3* that interacts with the perception of santralistanbul Art and Culture Center’s Main Gallery building located in Istanbul/Turkey. It shows how audio/visual techniques can transform, create, expand, amplify and interpret spaces by using large scale video projections on architecture.
It is a live audio/visual performance composed of animated monochrome geometrical shapes matching the real size and form of the quadrilateral alluminium modules which form the facade of the building. The visual performance is accompanied with a digitally produced soundscape consisting of abstract sounds synchronized to the movement of images re-shaping and transforming the building on which they are projected. The building in turn influences and transforms the projections as well.
*Griduo is formed of Alican Aktürk and Refik Anadol both graduate students and teaching assistants in İstanbul Bilgi University Visual Communication Design. Working in the fields of live video/audio performance and architectural photography, the duo is particularly interested in the relationship between architecture and media.
A visual piece by Michael Zoidis & Jodie Southgate, exploring the hazy slow-building ambient piece 'a2' by Ólafur Arnalds & Nils Frahm.
"For the video I cast my mind back to an old chemistry set I had when younger and experimented with some milk, food colour, vinegar and a macro lens to create a visual piece to accompany the music. The results were unexpected. I was rather pleased with some and I wanted to share them with you." - Michael Zoidis, director
"An ambient track that wraps itself around your synapses like balm as they've been dwindled by the unavoidable daily contact with Skrillex and PSY." - Noisey Video Premiere
