  3. Personal work from few weeks this summer in Michigan's beautiful upper peninsula mostly on The Keweenaw. This was shot only a few days after the first MX2 controller was born so it represents the first tests using it in coordination with with a 6' Stage Zero Timelapse Dolly. I didn't even start looking at this stuff until a couple of months or so ago due to too much going on. Finally releasing it in celebration of the dynamic perception system release! Enjoy and without further ado:

The Dynamic Perception Stage Zero Dolly Kit is now available for pre-order at http://www.dynamicperception.com

  4. National Geographic named Muskoka Cottage Country in Ontario Canada the '#1 Best Trip of Summer 2011' ( http://travel.nationalgeographic.com/travel/best-trips-summer-2011-photos/ ). I've been lucky enough to visit this incredible series of lakes and islands formed by some of the oldest rock on the planet many times. Our favorite destination is a somewhat remote old school cabin resort that saw it's heyday in the 40s. The Arundel Lodge once bustled with activity serving guests staying in tiny cabins from the main lodge with hearty breakfasts, dinners and activities. Now it sits quietly on a tip of Walkers Point as tourists generally moved away from this style of accommodation. I had the opportunity to capture it and nearby Hardy Lake as the last days of the 2011 summer passed into memory. As luck would have it, the sunsets were spectacular every single night we were there.

This wonderful gushing track by Sigur Ros ( Med sud í eyrum ) just seemed to fit the overwhelming beauty of this place like a glove.

  5. MILapse presents "Shadows of Sedona" - Music by: Scott August "Quiet Journey" http://www.cedarmesa.com/quietjourney

Here is the best of my timelapse captures from a week long visit to the heart of 'Red Rock Country' - Sedona Arizona. I gave the Dynamic Perception 'Stage One' (collapsible track prototype) some real-world testing on this trip. It traveled via air with me collapsed in my luggage. Upon arriving I assembled 4 sections making a 8' track and broke it down at the end of the trip.

The "Quiet Journey" composition is by accomplished composer Scott August. This solo for Anasazi flute was recorded live. It's interesting to note that this simple cedar instrument was modeled directly from archeological finds and is one of the most challenging to play.

    My Equipment Details:
    -Canon 5DmkII
    -Canon 7D
    -Canon 17mm TS-E (big thanks to http://www.borrowlenses.com)
    -Canon 24-70 L
    -Dynamic Perception 'Stage One' (prototype)
-MX2 DollyEngine (.83 firmware - all SMS 'interleave mode')
    -Little Bramper http://www.thewhippersnapper.com
    -Induro AKB2(s)
-Aluratek 12V 1.5aH universal lithium batteries
-Post After Effects - Cut in Premiere
