1. Our original player sprite was a lightly manipulated photograph, but for a game with so much animation in it the player became the most static element on screen.

    Following our philosophy of "if it can move, it should", we built a simple 3d model of a croissant in Maya and rendered a full rotation of 32 frames, allowing our heroic pâtisserie to perform barrel rolls - one of the most vividly important features a game can offer.
