  1. A parody of cliched game shows, and how ridiculous game show ideas can be these days.

I really wanted to make something completely original for this creative project, so I decided to make a game show, as I've always thought that would be fun. I put a lot of my style of humor into it, so I guess it may not hit to some people who have different types of humor, but in all I think it turned out really well.

  2. For our Creative Project, my good friend Jon and I decided to try to make a remake of one of my favorite movies, The Departed. We knew from the start that this was going to be a very challenging video, not just because it's a complicated movie with lots of settings, but also because we had to make it as short as possible. As a result, it came out to 10 minutes, but there was nothing we could take out without affecting the overall quality.

I LOVE how it turned out, and I really think this is one of the best videos both my parter and I have ever made. I am really proud of it.

  4. I saw this digital short on saturday night live about 2 years ago when it premiered, and I fund it hilarious, mostly because of how random and weird it was. So I decided that, since it was possible, I could do a remake of the video. I liked how, while it was simple to edit it together, it was a challenge to go to all the different locations and get every creative shot. I think it turned out really well. Enjoy!

  5. I decided to redo my logo, since my old one didn't really have the "low pitch" theme to it. I decided to start the logo with a high-pitched singing voice, and then have a error in the mic/speakers, making the pitch become low. I think it turned out really well, and I'm definitely going to use it for my videos.

I'm Ryan Lannum. I have been making videos ever since I was about 10, when I discovered Windows Movie Maker on my mom's laptop. I started with just editing pictures into a video, and I thought it was really cool. Later I asked for a cheap video camera for christmas, and I started to make very simple videos. I was pretty much obsessed with it for years. When I turned 12 or so, I made a youtube channel. I remember using copyrighted music, and having about 3 channels being suspended, because back then no copyrighted music was allowed. I then decided that my next channel should be serious, and it should have a memorable name. I decided "RDLgo" since my initials are "RDL" and I thought "go" just sounded memorable. On youtube, there's a channel called "Smosh" who has over 5 million subscribers. Back then, When they had like 500,000 subscribers, I was inspired by them. I made lots of little skits like they did, trying to also add my own style. I made lots of videos, and they have improved as I had practiced my filming/editing skills. Over the years, I have made over 80 videos on RDLgo, and I still make them to this day.

As smosh on youtube was my first inspiration to start making videos, I have many people today that inspire me. Probably the director who inspires me the most is Christopher Nolan. Christopher Nolan has directed 4 of my favorite movies of all time: Memento, The Prestige, The Dark Knight, and Inception. I have also recently seen Insomnia, which, while it is his weakest film, is still a great movie. Batman begins and The Dark Knight Rises are also great movies by him. I have been a huge fan of him ever since I saw The Dark Knight in theaters (2008). Since I really want to get a job in the film industry, he is my biggest inspiration. Other directors who also inspire me are Steven Spielberg, Tim Burton, David Fincher, Danny Boyle, Quentin Tarantino, and Martin Scorsese.

I love making videos, and hope to make many more in the future.
