1. RABBI MENACHEM FROMAN, was an Orthodox rabbi, a founder of the settlement movement, and a peacemaker/negotiator with close ties to Palestinian religious leaders. He died March 3, 2013 after a long struggle with illness.

Froman is one of the subjects of "Holy Land," a new documentary about the West Bank. He was our inspiration and is at the spiritual heart of the film. For more information, please visit us on Kickstarter: kck.st/13jxXyF

Froman was a paratrooper during the Six Day War, as well as the former Rabbi of the Knesset. Rabbi Froman is from the settler "Mayflower generation" but has followed his own path: meeting with Arafat and Hamas and endorsing a Palestinian state. Froman was known for the spiritual, musical, and kabalistic teachings he conducted in Tekoa in recent years.

SHIVI FROMAN is Rabbi Froman’s son, who says that his life mission is to carry on his father’s work. Shivi is also featured in "Holy Land." In the last month's of Froman's life,tThe Rabbi and Shivi were working on starting a theater group in Jerusalem, where theology and theater can meet, an inclusive troupe that includes settlers and Tel Aviv leftists alike
