Joseph seemed forgotten. He languished in an Egyptian prison for two long years. The Cupbearer moved on. God, though, hadn’t taken His eyes off of him nor the dream that was to be fulfilled. So, the ever-faithful Joseph waited until it was time for action. He didn’t bail out. He didn’t give up. He had learned to wait well.
Temptation was at hand. Potiphar’s wife was throwing herself at Joseph. He withstood her advances day after day. Joseph understood his destiny. He knew God had big things in store for him. He wasn’t going to let a momentary tryst destroy the dream. Even in prison, it was clear that God was faithful to Joseph and that Joseph remained faithful to God. The Lord has big plans for you too. Don’t let sin get in the way. Stay faithful. Keep your eyes on the big picture!
