    This tutorial gives step-by-step instructions on using Photoshop and Apple Motion to create the "The Kid Stays in the Picture" effect. The name of the effect is from the documentary film that extensively applies this motion graphic to still images. Essentially a still image is separated into layers which are moved along the z-axis. Movement is introduced via animation... adding depth and giving the impression of 3D to the still (the effect sometimes referred to as 2.5D).

  4. Mainly this video is a response to Mac Break weekly video about how "perfect" FCP X preserves the pitch. (youtube.com/watch?v=AOrTkyzlYuU) I like the ripple training guys, but even in the video you can hear the horrible job FCP X does. So I did some head to head comparison. If your experience with Fcp x is different please let me know.
