One Big Holiday documents the preparations of My Morning Jacket's homecoming concert at the newly-opened downtown arena in October 2010, including interviews with the members of the band, former Louisville Mayor Jerry Abramson, ear x-tacy owner John Timmons, members of opening band Wax Fang, and the conductor of the Louisville Youth Orchestra (LYO).
Directed by Michael Feld, the documentary thematically speaks to what it means to follow your dreams and the strength of having a sense of home, no matter where that may be. Beautifully shot in HD, the film combines footage of Louisville, rehearsals with My Morning Jacket and the LYO, interviews, and the concert itself.
A killer rendition of George Harrison's "Isn't It A Pity" by Band of Horses and My Morning Jacket during the encore of the last show of their tour. I shot this on my Iphone from the audience, trying my best to stay still. Enjoy!
My Morning Jacket's song At Dawn performed by Aunt Martha as part of the band's Bonnaroo Cover Madness video series. During the month leading up to Bonnaroo, Aunt Martha will be covering assorted songs from other artists who are also on the bill this year.
