A few excerpts from a 10 minute, one man live performance piece.

Using projection mapping onto street furniture, a dandypunk travels through various fantastical worlds, interacting with strange characters and treacherous landscapes, in the hope of unfolding the secrets and learning the techniques from the ancient book of "The Alchemy of Light".

  3. Mont Orgueil Castle set the scene for a new kind of battle. The ancient structure stood immutable as a torrent of light was unleashed by the creative minds at seeper, bursting upon the old stones with a new-era vengeance. Art and technology, in perfect congress, mounted a spectacular assault upon this icon of a violent history.

The result was not fear, but wonder. The hill exploded with life and art; organic and digital forms seamlessly taking their places as part of the ageing monument, repainting it, eager to bring us into renewed contact with our past. Because art reconnects us with our history, creating new relationships with things long dead. And seeper put a new face on this old creature, letting it breath again for a new generation.

This, dare we say, seminal architectural projection mapping work was made possible by the unstoppable branchagefestival.com

  5. kimchiandchips.com/littree.php

A small potted tree has a perpetual conversation with people. Through the use of video projection, a tree is augmented in a non-invasive way, enabling the presentation of volumetric light patterns using itʼs own leaves as voxels (3D pixels).

The tree invites viewers with a choreographed cloud of light that can respond visitors motion. As visitors approach, they can explore the immediate and cryptic nature of this reaction. The tree can form gestures in this way, and can in turn detect the gestures of its visitors. By applying a superficial layer of immediate interaction to the tree, can people better appreciate the long term invisible interaction that they share with it?
