Episode 010: Original Sin Pin-Up Contest
Host: Sin Dee
Produced, Filmed, and Edited by: Kevin Rankin
We came, we drank, we saw, and we drank. My NYC punk rock favorite bar + a great beverage + beautiful women everywhere = it must be on Twilight Vision TV.
On April 2nd, 2009 I had the pleasure of being a contestant in the Original Sin Cider pin up contest. The winner will be featured in a Sin Cider poster by artist R. Black. In this episode I interviewed the judges/past poster girls: Amber Star, Storm and Molly Crabapple, artist R. Black, and founder of Sin Cider, Gidon. Tons of people came out for the night and watched as sexy pin up girls strutted their stuff on stage. Good booze and hot chicks... what else could you ask for?
Alternative fashion, drunk judges, in-your-face rock music and the hilarious Voltaire MCing. There was no way we could miss this event. Hope you enjoy to coverage. Look forward to out-takes with Voltaire and a completely separate episode featuring Suicide City in the future.
For our newest episode, we talked to Andy from Combichrist before his show at The Fillmore @ Irving Plaza, NYC. We also taped the band earlier in the day at their signing at the Vampire Freaks store. Check it out.
Twilight Vision 007: World/Inferno Friendship Society
Produced, Filmed & Edited by: Kevin Rankin
Add. Camera: Evan Kleinman, Jordana Lewinter
Add. Sound: Jim Norton
When I was introduced to the World/Inferno some years back, much about them was shrouded in mystery. They were not a band, but a cult. Their shows were not shows, they were rituals. Their music was not typical of any genre, but the spirit of punk rock was apparent more than any other band I had ever seen before. Most everything about them us unpredictable and utterly unique and they quickly became on of my favorite bands. It was an honor to sit down with them for Twilight Vision and I think it's safe to say that this is so far, my favorite episode of the series thus far.
