For a full description of our 3 day trip head on over to montana-wild.com. The scenery is stunning up here and we have made it a yearly trip for us. The fish are beautiful and native to these waters. The last day we got into some great fish. These fish fought pound for pound harder than any fish I've had a chance to hook up on.
We set out on an early February fishing mission in hopes of starting 2012 with a bang. Our plan was to float the Missouri River in search of some early season trout. This winter has been exceptionally warm and we've never fished so early. Here's what we ended up with.
October fly fishing for native bull trout on Oregon's Metolius River. Watching a 30" trout wheel around to chase down an 8" fly is a sight to behold and one I will never get used to. With the ongoing reintroduction of sockeye and chinook into the Metolius system you can bet the bulls are licking their toothy chops.
Shot on the Panasonic GH2 and GoPro Hero2.
Mike, your streamer rocked! Look forward to next year.
