Legacy Films and Memory Montages

  1. The Irving Kushner Story is one of my favorite projects that I put together in 2012. I worked closely with the family to compile a 26 minute video that tells the inspirational story of Irving Kushner's life. It is a celebration of a wonderful man who lived an extraordinary life and loved his family, friends and his wife dearly. This is a selection of chapters taken from the original 26 minute film that focuses in on his love for his wife and the legacy he passes on to future generations. If you have a need for a memorial film or a living legacy documentary It would be my honor to help tell these kinds of stories.

  3. Wil Lewis was my peer at the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design and a collaborator on film projects. I would also consider him to be a friend. We were not close friends, but he was someone who had a great impact on my life. His passion for life, his intense drive towards his dreams and his genuine happiness inspire me going forward. His infections and positive personality inspired many people including those he barely knew. Wil was a talented photographer who's future was very bright. Sadly his life was cut far too short by senseless Chicago gang violence on July 12, 2014. This is a video I created to honor Wil.

    From his obituary:

"William "Wil" Lewis Age 28, of Chicago, formerly of Milwaukee, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014. Wil was born March 4, 1986 in Guatemala City, Guatemala and was adopted at age 7 by Joseph and Kim Lewis. Wil overcame many obstacles, including only knowing street Spanish and learning a whole new culture. He was a quick learner and picked up English quickly thanks to family, school and listening to KFROG radio in San Bernardino. He grew up in California, Sturgeon Bay, WI and graduated from Kaukauna High School in 2005. He earned a Fine Art degree in Photography from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design, which is where he met his wife and best friend, Maria. The two were married in West Bend, WI on August 18, 2012 and moved to Chicago shortly after. Wil worked as a freelance photographer, working with companies such as KOHL's, Lands End, Sears, and many others. A lover of photography, art and design, Wil followed his passions throughout life. He had a big heart and was loved by everyone he met, no matter how brief the encounter. He brought a love of life, humor, and adventure to those he met touching their lives in memorable ways. His fun-loving spirit, sparkling eyes and infections laugh will stay with his friends and family forever. Wil always lived an active life. During school, he participated in sports. He was a 4-year varsity letter winner in soccer and also competed in basketball, track, and swimming. He was a lover of music. Growing up he played drums both in the school band, as well as in a garage band. His musical influences included Joey Kramer, from Aerosmith, Carter Beauford from Dave Matthews Band, and his father, Joe. He shared a passion for the Green Bay Packers with his family and also enjoyed nature and outdoor adventures with Maria. His nephews and nieces will miss their favorite wrestling buddy as well. Family was always important to Wil, no matter where he was or what he was doing, he found time to catch up and stay in touch with everyone he held dear."

Rest in peace Wil. God's Speed.
