Brooklyn resident Palestinians Camilia and Marcel are celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. Camilia's world is shattered when her son appears at the party with his new girlfriend, Sarah, who turns out to be Israeli. Her own daughter Bissam is dating a Palestinian, Tareq, who ends up dying as a victim of a bomb attack in the Palestine, leaving behind a mourning Bissam carrying their child. Marcel goes through a difficult period after having a row with his son Ibrahim, and stops to play music. All seems to get on its track back to normal, when Ibrahim and Sarah come back to ask for forgiveness, and Marcel picks up his oud again. The whole family reunites around the new born baby hoping for a better future...
