    Graduation project 2011
Designed as a possible title sequence for a fictitious documentary, this film shows a history of the title sequence in a nutshell. The sequence includes all the names of title designers who had a revolutionary impact on the history and evolution of the title sequence. The names of the title designers all refer to specific characteristics of the revolutionary titles that they designed.
This film refers to elements such as the cut and shifted characters of Saul Bass' Psycho title, the colored circles of Maurice Binder's design for Dr. No and the contemporary designs of Kyle Cooper and Danny Yount.

This title sequence refers to the following designers and their titles:
Georges Méliès - Un Voyage Dans La Lune, Saul Bass - Psycho, Maurice Binder - Dr. No, Stephen Frankfurt - To Kill A Mockingbird, Pablo Ferro - Dr. Strangelove, Richard Greenberg - Alien, Kyle Cooper - Seven, Danny Yount - Kiss Kiss Bang Bang / Sherlock Holmes

  2. An experiment with time remap. In fact just changed the cam : it was filmed with a Canon 7D at 60fps, making it really more smooth !

it was recorded as a funny pause while working on the performance "Cinematique" (vimeo.com/amcb/cinematique)... but this short dance is actually not in the show.
You can try it in real time in an exhibition called XYZT (vimeo.com/amcb/xyzt).

Just to explain : we have not invented this effect, we have just developed it to work on GPU at 60fps as a Quartz Composer plug in, it is based on sculpting of a 3D texture.
It's made with a custom Quartz Composer plug-in that transform a video stream in a 3D texture.
It can run at 60fps live at lower resolution (1024x512)

AFAIK the effect was discovered accidentally by a photograph called Jacques Henri Lartigues at the beginning of the 20th century (in 1912 to be precise) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jacques_Henri_Lartigue, with this famous photo : bokeh.fr/blog/photographes/la-voiture-deformee-de-jacques-henri-lartigue/
After it's just technical evolutions : photography->video->realtime video
The funny part is that rolling shutter of many camera is not a feature, it's a pretty annoying effect...

  3. SinfiniMusic.com commissioned me to create an animation about the life of composer Richard Wagner. I drew the textures and illustrations by hand then took them into Cinema 4D to animate. For a bit more background go to my blog: http://bit.ly/T6fcJM

The style is a development of animation I did last year called 'Nothing To Fear' which you can see here: vimeo.com/17593192
