1. An animated film based on a poem written by Eve Ensler for ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE.
    Read the poem here.

ONE BILLION RISING FOR JUSTICE is about envisioning justice for all survivors of gender violence. Justice can take many forms.

It can be an apology or reparations. Taking legal action. It can be about making the truth visible. It can be prosecuting, or pushing to create change, or implementing policies and laws that ensure the protection of women’s rights. It can be calling for an end to all forms of inequality, discrimination, misogyny and patriarchy. It can be naming perpetrators whether they be individuals, groups, corporations or the state. Demanding accountability. It can be rising for justice be it personal, social, economic, cultural, environmental or political. It can be a revolutionary call to restore dignity and respect for all women. It can be about transformation.

This film is Eve and Jordan's vision of justice. We hope it will inspire yours – please send us your visions, poems, art, videos, and ideas of justice.

As we bring this global discussion to the forefront, we want to hear from you what justice looks like. Join activists from around the world, share your vision of justice.

  2. From the BAFTA Award winning animation studio of The Brothers McLeod. Greg animated one second of animation every day for the 365 days of the year 2013. There was no storyline, script or storyboard. The ideas come from things read, seen or experienced on the day, with a little artistic license for good measure.

  3. Rising Star Byron is a real time video of the sun rising behind the Cape Byron Lighthouse at Byron Bay on the most easterly point of mainland Australia. People gather up around the lighthouse at dawn to watch the first rays of sun to hit mainland Australia as it rises over the ocean to the east. You may notice the tiny silhouettes of the people in the video walking around the lighthouse as the sun rises behind them.

I used a similar technique to film this video as I did with Full Moon Silhouettes: theartofnight.com/2013/01/full-moon-silhouettes/ except this time I was positioned 5.7km away from the Cape Byron lighthouse when I shot the video. I would have positioned myself closer if I could, but was restricted by the location I had to be in to capture the sun rising directly behind the lighthouse for this time of year, but still I'm quite happy with the result!

As with Full Moon Silhouettes, this video is as it came off the memory card, the only post work that was done was dealing with video noise in the footage. I spent a week doing test shoots, before getting the final footage I was happy with. The shoot was planned in detail with the iPhone app, PhotoPills - photopills.com

I shot the video on a Canon 5D MkIII with a Canon EF 600mm f/4L lens and a Canon 1.4x extender II, giving me a focal length of 840mm.

I've written up a blog on the planning and capturing of the video here: theartofnight.com/2014/01/moon-and-sunrise-the-byron-bay-experience/

The music, The Sky Above by Rhian Sheehan was used with permission. You can check out Rhian's latest album, "Stories from Elsewhere" and more of his amazing music here: rhiansheehan.com

We have just done our first project : the main titles for FIU bcn, that is is an event created with the aim of propelling quality projects in the hands of creative new generations. The place where students looking for inspirations and references may address their concerns for the future, as well as a hub where companies interested in the creative-hunting can discover the great creative talent. The event was yesterday at DHUB (Barcelona!) and we want to share it with all of you!
Just take a look and get fun! :)
