This is the presentation video for Cameo, commissioned by The Place Prize for Dance 2010, sponsored by Bloomberg.
The première of the work will take place on 16th September, while the Semifinal performance will be on 25th September 2010, both at 8PM at the Robin Howard Dance Theatre, London.
Cameo challenges the narrative conventions used in suspense films, playing with framing, sound and non-verbal communication signs. The aim is to translate these cinematic features into a theatrical construction challenging the audience’s interpretation of the work.
A finalist of The Place Prize for Dance 2011, Cameo is an elegantly choreographed trio that plays with narrative conventions of framing, sound and gestures in cinematic suspense.
