1. This video presentation is Part 1 of one of the in-depth Economic sessions presented by Najma Sadeque (Director, Green Economics Initiative, SHIRKAT GAH, Pakistan) and produced & co-presented by me at the four-day international AWID Forum on April 19th, 2012. The presentation “Surviving Money and the Financial System – and What Women can do about it” is on alternative money and trading systems in difficult financial times (such as we have been experiencing the past several years), and what women could do to help themselves, especially at the local and grassroots level. The presentation was in line with this year’s AWID (Association of Women’s Rights in Development) theme which was Transforming Economic Power to Advance Women’s Rights and Justice.
