Curiously Dead - The feature film

This is the 1994 version of the feature film "Curiously Dead"

The film is partially incomplete (missing sound and foley, temp score (ugg!!) and a 1 light telecine transfer (un-timed).

Never bothered to take it to print or festivals.

This was my first feature film.

Curiously Dead was my first feature film (at age 23). The film was based on a short screenplay that I pitched in film school.

Originally I had raise $25K to shoot another script named “Spoke”. This film was a disaster in preproduction, and as the shooting dates crept closer, I started losing locations and actors.

Finally with 3 days before principal photography, I wrote “Curiously Dead “in 21 hours, around actors and locations that were locked. We proceeded to shoot for the next three weeks with a thin script.

Post was another challenge, as we used a system called “D- Vision”, which crashed, three times, with each crash we lost the film cut. Finally in abandonment mode we quickly cut something together as we ran out of time and money. Over the next few years I managed to hobble some temp sound and score to at least make it watchable.

This version is as far as I got. I had a decision to make another movie (Barnone), or continue with this one. My passion had faded for “Curiously Dead”. This is as far as it went.
