1. Pop promo for the band Wave Machines.

This is an attempt to capture a 'feel' of the architectures weight and swing. The kaleidoscope like compositing works to reveal the geometry of the architecture and, as my friend Lutz Becker says 'turn them into jewels'.

I've been developing this technique for the past 4 years , and it's a relief to finally get the opportunity to debut it
alongside such a good tune, so thank you Wave machines and Mr. Scott Spencer. This is my first collaboration with Scott Spencer, keep watching this space for more.

Kaleidolapse is a visual technique that applies a kaleidoscopic effect to different shots taken with time-lapse technique.
This effect generates multiple moving images that are symmetrically multiplied which gives them an abstract look with a great richness of shapes and colors.
The music together with the movement rhythm of the images will set the character we want to give to the video.

Our city, one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

Since we saw the implementation of this time-lapse kaleidoscopic effect, we felt the need to play with this technique.
We wanted this Kaleidolapse to have a common link in all its images so we dove on our hard drives to look for the time-lapses we've been doing in the city of Barcelona during the last 4 years.
We selected those images that we thought that could work better with this technique and we chose the music: a great hit of the New York American Dollar “Signaling Through The Flames”. We were then ready to start playing with the kaleidoscopic effect.
There were endless possibilities so we got carried away by the inspiration of the moment and the music.
We set a single mandatory criterion: at some point in every shot anyone should be able to identify the site of Barcelona that was filmed.
For those of you that do not know yet Barcelona or in case you have not been able to discover by yourselves the location of some shots, here they are in order of appearance:

    Palau Sant Jordi
    Torre Agbar
    Parc de la Ciutadella
    Laberint d´Horta
    Torre MAPFRE y Hotel Arts
    Torre de telecomunicaciones de Montjuïch
    Arc del Triomf
    Parc Güell
    Sagrada Familia
    Parc de Joan Miró
    Estadi Olímpic
    Plaça Espanya
    Port de Barcelona
