Opening video of the Department of Education's Office of Special Education Program's Annual Leadership Conference of over a thousand attendees from all over the United States. The goal was to do something fun, bring energy to the crowd, do something unexpected over the typical official government welcome video, energize the audience, and get the conference off to the right start. We used popular culture spoofs (The Office, the Brady Bunch and Star Wars) to surprise the audience and engage them. It worked, they cheered, and the attendees experienced a burst of energy from the outset of the conference when they were only expecting another boring federal conference welcome video.
