UPDATE: With your help, we won the first place prize of $10,000 to help the students at Prisk Elementary! Word has spread, and the PTA and some local businesses have also donated funds and resources to help our cause! Thank you for all of your kind support!
Prisk Elementary serves a very diverse community of learners including students with autism, blind students, gifted students and students in the general program. Technology is the vehicle in which ALL students can learn and flourish. Today's businesses run on complex technology systems, it is our responsibility to ensure we provide the necessary technological skills to be successful. Students that use technology develop technical and learning skills, academic knowledge and work habits that are necessary for success in higher education and the workplace.
The Box Project was created to put a smiles on faces
regardless the size of the gesture. All it takes is your
effort to help others in need by donating everyday
essentials such as canned food, clothes, books and toys.
How does it work? Start by looking around your house. Maybe
its your favorite Mac and cheese, or a book you have already read.
It can also be the scarf that kept you warm through out last winter.
Once you have decided what will go in the box, write a note to the
person your sending it to. Chances are you will not know who this box
will go to, but know that they will know it came from you. The gesture
is what matters!
*Food and toys must be unopened and in original packaging.
