THE COMEBACK feature Wide Open Drift Team as they compete in the last round of DMCC for 2012
Jeff Laflamme and his team took everyone by surprise ending 3rd overall in pro last year. They also won many prizes like best rookie and best team. During the winter the team took a crucial decision by selling their S13 to build an IS300, a car that no one ever attempted to drift in DMCC. Unfortunately this decision cost them their season not only Jeff had to learn a complete different way to drive but the car suffered many mechanical problems. With no podium with the IS300 and lack of founds, the team decided to abandon the DMCC for this year with 2 events left. With the help of their sponsors they managed to compete in Sanair for the last round. Take a look at the adventure of this great team as they try not only to win but mostly keep their pride.
This year seemed to be a total 180 from what we came down into last year. Nearly no rain, clear skies, nice weather, and a hell of a lot of dope cars. It seemed this year the outcasts were even more prevalent then years before.
I do still have to produce the show footage. Coming back from that weekend with a folder sized at over 40gb, I have had my work cut out for me, both with photos and a whole lot of video after feeling terrible for not having much last year.
