1. Even though Jesus had told them plainly that He was going to die in Jerusalem and be raised on the third day, the disciples refused to take heed. After all, hadn't they been sent out to proclaim the gospel that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand? And then, after Peter's great confession (and shark rebuke), they weren't asking any questions. Instead they were jockeying for position (who was the greatest) in the coming kingdom, which they fully expected after Jesus' entry on a colt in fulfillment of prophecy. Then Jesus IS killed by a move instigated by those who were more interested in retaining their own earthly power than in welcoming the Anointed One. There are four messages for us in these events. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, April 1, 2018.

  2. The "traditions" of Christmas, especially from the secular world, can be confusing. Some of the children in the congregation shared their favorite foods, activities and even a memorable present. But if we looked to the secular media for our inspiration, we would be sadly disappointed. They focus on the "warm, fuzzy feelings" or "the spirit of giving" instead of upon the One who was given that night. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, December 24, 2017.

  5. Ever wonder why super heroes are so popular? Why do we think electing the right politician will solve our problems? The truth is: this world is marred, tainted corrupted by sin. Even the best of times last only a moment and we are back looking for a savior. The good news (gospel) is that God sent a saviour: His Son Jesus Christ. If you place your trust in Him as THE ONLY WAY to be reconciled to God, have the forgiveness of your sin and the removal of guilt, you will have the Hope of Christmas in your heart. This message was presented by Craig Miller, senior pastor of Grace Baptist Church in Cedarville, Ohio Sunday, December 3, 2017.
