1. The mountains are calling and I must go.
I've been admiring and climbing mountains since I can remember. Up there, on the peaks, where only the wind and the sky speak, all the problems that we carry along, melt into the infinite space. And suddenly, you discover yourself, as you truly are, limitless. This is the magic hand of nature...and you and me are part of it. Nature, that does not take anything, does not require entry fees, yet gives back everything: itself.
This are images from my trip in Bucegi National Park, Romania, this july. A unique oasis, amazing in every step along the way, a true realm of peace.

  2. Corvin's Castle in Transylvania. Amongst the many legends, in the castle yard, near the 15th-century chapel, there is a well 30 meters deep. According to the legend, this fountain was dug by twelve Turkish prisoners to whom liberty was promised if they reached water. After 15 years they completed the well, but their captors did not keep their promise. It is said that the inscription on a wall of the well means “you have water, but not soul”. Specialists, however, have translated the inscription as “he who wrote this inscription is Hasan, who lives as slave of the giaours, in the fortress near the church”.

  3. The beauty of the mountain is hidden for all those who try to discover it from the top, supposing that, one way or another, one can reach that place direclty. The beauty of the mountain reveals itself onlt to those who climb it, step by step, who taste it, hear the sounds of it...

  4. “Long, blue, spiky-edged shadows crept out across the snow-fields, while a rosy glow, at first scarce discernible, gradually deepened and suffused every mountain-top, flushing the glaciers and the harsh crags above them. This was the alpenglow, to me the most impressive of all the terrestrial manifestations of God. At the touch of this divine light, the mountains seemed to kindle to a rapt, religious consciousness, and stood hushed like devout worshippers waiting to be blessed.” John Muir
The second video from Parang mountains, a mountain different every time I climb it.
