This is the result of a six days long project at my art school, where we chose a word, sentence or quote, and worked with this. I chose "I CREATE LIFE", and decided to try out the techniques of Stop-Motion animation. I have been accepted to Bournemouth Arts University, Animation Production next fall, and saw this as an opportunity to explore if this was something I could work with. And it was!
As I have never done this before, I used the puppet-building guide from Ken A. Priebes book "The advanced art of stop motion animation" (as this was the only chapter I had time to finish), and found it very helpful.
I also used a soundtrack from the wonderful film "Hugo", which helped me a lot on the way.
We had six days to do the project, and I had no former knowledge of this art form, so this was an extremely challenging task for me. I have heard how much time, patience and knowledge is demanded to make a film like this, but no books told me how much fun it was! This being said, I have to admit that pretty much all that could go wrong, went wrong, and I have no words for how much I've learned out of this process!
Enjoy the film, and know that feedback is highly appreciated!
