The North American Division is launching a program to double the number of women working as pastors. This is the story of Sabine Rene, a graduate of the Seminary at Andrews University who changed her career plans when she realized that she wasn't going to find employment as a pastor.
Pastor Rodney Mills tried to get as much of the church involved in evangelism as possible. We do this by having as many meetings as possible going at the same time. He can't do it by himself so he trains Elders in the church to build teams and preach at each of the sites.
Pastor Mackay believes that every church should plant a church. This idea came to him when his congregation received a number of refugees from Burma. He discovered that by helping this group establish their own church, his church and community were revived and refreshed.
The two churches have started a church school together which particularly addresses the needs of refugee students.
Mrs. Jonakin and two other Adventists run a house church every Sabbath morning. These three are the only Adventists in a group that averages nine to twelve attendees per week. Some of the attendees don't even believe in God, but they are drawn to the fellowship and open up to the message.
