  2. A quick compilation of some of the first footage shot on the long-awaited Blackmagic Production Camera on a trip to Northern Thailand. Rough grade in Premiere with Filmconvert and curves. I'm really pleased with the camera. It sure is a big step from my 7D :) Music by me, an old demo track for a documentary I found from my laptop, never ended up to the film though.

  3. When I started preparing for my first trip to NY, I wasn't aware of the impact this city would have on me and the way I would eventually photograph and film it. I thought about many photo projects and many ways to capture the New York light but it was only when I first walked the streets that I noticed I couldn't shake out that feeling of being in a movie.

Being both a photographer and a videographer, makes for quite an interesting combination of both inspiration and technique. Most of the times I have a conscious influence of my photography into my videos, but it was only when I first took my camera out in New York that I felt the opposite. Until now most of my street photography had been a quiet acquisition of street moments, passive portraits of urban backgrounds. New York triggered this new eye, this new attitude towards photography that I hadn't felt before.

I took it as a sign of inspiration and went about capturing still frames of an ongoing film. A film of discovery both of the city and of my own photography.

This video is a compilation of all those in-between moments...

  4. My greatest failure in life came when I lost the ability to believe in my own dreams. It had taken a year and a half to return to Yosemite after enduring one of my most heartbreaking experiences. In an unexpected twist of fate I regained the courage to try again after seeing the world through a child’s eyes. Since the release of the Silver & Light film we have accomplished more than we ever thought possible. We could have never made it this far without the support of people like you.

  5. I have been testing out the GH4 in Budapest and made this short film over the past few days. It’s a mix of 4K footage, hyperlapse and time-lapse. The high speed shot of the pigeons is shot at 1080 96fps.
