Inspired by Cesar Kuriyama's 1 Second Everyday app for Iphone, this is one year's worth of seconds in my son's life. Theo was five months old when we began, and is now 17 months old. He loves watching his video as much as I do. As I captured the last clip this morning (obviously more than a second), I became a little tearful. I'm not sure I'm ready to stop.
The biggest challenge for me was not remembering to capture a second, but to make every moment count after long work days. Even the sleepy moments count for me.
I had some technical difficulties along the way so I had to merge several files together to complete the full year.
An app, 1se, inspired me to create my own one year of taking a one second video clip every day for an entire year. I started in January 2013 and continued for an entire year. Yes, there was the last minute as I was climbing into bed, but every second marks a moment of a year in my life. Thanks to all who were apart of my little project, here's to next year!
I can honestly say that this has been one of the most impactful years of my life. My second year graduated from college, going from working at the ad agency to full-time freelancing. An amazing collection of happenings and lessons have changed who I am—influenced by the people around me and the places I am in.
From the Duluth Homegrown festival to my trip to Africa, this has been a year that I will never forget. Okay, sappiness over. Check out the video!
