1. This year's titles for FOTB were created by Nando Costa through the use of macro motion pictures and materials with magnetic properties.

The choice of materials was driven by the desire to graphically represent the concepts of attraction and repulsion. The idea that graphic artists of all sorts attend events such as FOTB because they are inspired and therefore attracted to each other's work, while at the same time often competing in the same fields as peers, which represents the repulsion factor.

  4. Initially created for The Silver Black exhibition.

    Director: Rhett Dashwood

    Audio: CypherAudio

    from Rhett :

Silver + Black is a premium retail and exhibition initiative that sells art, fashion and limited edition objects of desire.

I was commissioned by Casio to produce a moving image piece inspired by the theme of 'time'.

Using circles as a symbol of time; decaying particles and undulating waves transition throughout the animated work to show that the only constant is change. The piece then loops to begin a new life cycle.

  5. I was asked by Tendril to collaborate with them on a series of short films, of which this is the first instalment.

    from Tendril :

In January 2010, we sat together in earnest to look back at years of working together. We wanted to rediscover our inspirations for getting into the industry and identify the things that were killing our inspiration. We talked about what stories we had to tell and what emotions we wanted people to feel. We all agreed that our best work had yet to be conceived. Out of that conversation was born the idea of creating a visual manifesto. Each statement in this manifesto is a short work that stands on it's own, but together the collection of works will form a vision of who we are and where our passions lie. Each of the works is also conceived and led by one of the artists on our team, who pitches it to the group. The work is then executed with the support of the entire studio.

The first of these works, entitled 'SEED' is now complete.
