Used as an introduction to our organizations yearly Stewardship Review, this motion design piece shows the history of BYU-Idaho through the communication methods of the time period.
I wrote the handwritten text at the beginning and animated it. I also got the photo of an old typewriter, took it apart and got that to appear as if it were typing. I helped with transitioning the typewriter to the newspaper press. I also helped create the end sequence where the viewer is zooming through pixels to different pieces of communication.
I was commissioned by the scrapbook company, Seven Gypsies to create a short motion graphic to showcase their products in anticipation of a major trade show. The music is "Les Amants Solitaires" by Nicole Renaud. Much of the ephemera is from Seven Gypsies, the rest is from resource books and my personal collection. Looking back at it, I wish that I had had more time to finesse the transitions, they are still a little jarring.
