Did someone say hand made with love? Love this creative couple! Just… wow. Dave and Mary put much thought into the choices they made for their wedding day. Using items that have lasted the test of time; quaint metal chairs hired locally, old crates, desks, wheel barrows and more. The love heart formed from finger prints of their own was something they came up with. It’s quite apparent that they want to live a long life together. Awesome! So they needed a marquee to cover the ceremony, why not build your own one? A friend had some scrub that could do with some clearing. So they cut the upright posts for their marquee from the scrub. David’s mum made the enormous canvas covering. Together with friends they pitched it on the morning of their wedding.
Following gorgeous vows they were married under a glowing afternoon sun. This video does not have the speeches. But my word, Dave & Mary you have some truly magnificent parents, family and friends. So much love for you both. So much wisdom being passed down. Congratulations on a wedding day you made your own. Pretty decorations are great. But you made it your own with meaningful pretty decorations. This I love.

Josh & Lauren are great friends of mine. And when I found out they were getting married I was so excited for them both, which I expressed joyously to them, but I was also secretly excited because I wanted to have a proper go at filming a wedding. Their wedding. I mentioned to Josh that I wanted to meet up . It soon became obvious that we wanted to ask each other the same question. And that was that I should film his wedding day. My computer at the time was not up to it. My camera was not up to it much either. But I didn’t let that stop me. With some newly bought and borrowed equipment I made it happen. I must say it was a pleasure to work beside Jonas Peterson as their Photographer, what a talent, a fantastic story teller.
At some stage during the day, it dawned on me that it was a great privilege to be in the position I was. I got to see everything. The boys chilling out playing guitar at the barber getting cut-throat shaves. A precious moment of gift giving. Parents overcome with joy for their children. Meticulous preparation. Nerves. Emotion. Elation. Laughter. Love. And Celebration.
For me, I got so much enjoyment from filming this, much more than I ever expected. It feels so good, to have created something that is treasured my many. To know it means so much to many people is humbling.
Some things for you the readers inspiration. A candle lit hall. A selection of fantastic home made beer, by Josh’s best man. Josh’s sister hand made boutonniere’s for the gentlemen, each a symbol of something they love. Bridesmaids were dressed in the colours of autumn, hand sewn by Lauren’s mum. Gorgeous vintage bridal dress by Lauren and her mum. Fun helium ballon’s forming an aisle. And much more.
I’m so happy to have been chosen to tell their story. If you have a story you want me to tell, jump onto the contact page and start sharing

The story of Chris + Anna is one that I am so happy to tell. On a misty day perched in the hills of Maleny Queensland, they married. Their day was one of do-it-yourself. Much effort. Love. Lots of Love. Family, friends with an undeniably honest, genuine love for the couple. From the hugs and hot chai from the bride to be in the morning and the send off with barista made coffee in the evening and all the love between, I will not forget this day any time soon. Although this video does not have any speeches (I supply these seperate), you should know that they were inspiring, hilarious and honest. I won't go on any longer and let their story come through the movie. I shot this wedding together with Photographer Josh Weier from sehrgutjosh.com, if you like what you see here you will love what he does with the camera.
Thank you Chris and Anna, all the best living a great story.

Want to have a relaxed, fun and stress free wedding day > you'll see how it's done at Jono and Eve's wedding. You find a big glorious tree. Schedule a sunny afternoon with a cool breeze blowing. Invite family, friends and children. And simply enjoy each others company. So thrilled to be sharing a beautifully unique wedding under a ginormous Moreton Bay Fig Tree in a Brisbane Park. Or as Jono and Eve call it; 'our hitching tree'. I shot this together with my good friend Josh Weier @ sehrgutjosh.com
I'll let the video do the talking, I will mention this is not anything that I expected to come up with going into the day. So blown away by these wonderful souls.
