Just a "Quick Tip" video showing how to use Modo's replicator function as a clone tool.
If you know Modo, you know that it can be choppy when playing with deformer tools and lots of polygons - (it's a destructive workflow).
So here's a small tip how to use the replicator function, make Modo more responsive and have non-destructive workflow*.
In this tutorial I show you how to do a TIME FREEZE effect. It's simple, just ask all the actors to stop moving while you move the camera around them... then if you want to make it even better just add some 3D objects suspended in space. Programs I use are boujou 5.0 and Maya 2012 as well as Adobe After Effects. If you got any questions just leave it in the comments below.
a helpful trick in setting up a tiled surface, so that whatever you paint is tileable, as you paint it. Great for making asset brushes for use in further painting / sculpting. I use modo here but it can be done in most any software.
