Beautiful British Columbia | A TIMELAPSE FILM by Levi Allen
This is very much a story of exploration. Both in my personal journey into the art of filmmaking, but also the journey of where my life has brought me in these amazing mountains of British Columbia. This is a project that is very near and dear to my heart, not because it is technically perfect--in fact its far from it, but because of the blood sweat and tears that went into making it. The friendships and people I met along the way, and the learning process behind each and every shot. The physical and mental endurance it took to achieve each shot and finish the editing of the project grew my skills as a filmmaker but also my character as a person. I learned so much with this project but I think most importantly that it is not about how you start, but more important about how you finish.
Feel free to ask me any questions. All footage shot and edited by Levi Allen
263 images taken prior to skiing the Skillet Glacier Route. This was from about 8:30pm until 1:00AM. It was a great night for an open bivy looking at our objective for the next day. Super fun times had by all.
A 200+ mile backpacking experience through Yosemite National Park captured by Colin Delehanty and Sheldon Neill. This project was filmed over the course of 10 months. We spent a combined 45 days in the park capturing the images in this video.
a year of post frostbite alpine adventure. striving to achieve the dream, and meld it into reality...
Last april i got frostbite while descending from the summit of the mooses tooth in alaska. this past year in the mountains served as my recovery... alpine rock routes in the sierra, british columbia, and the northwest territories allowed me to stay off the cold snow and prepare for my extension of summer down south in el chalten. though the weather has been less then cooperative with me this year, the people and community make every moment a worthwhile and special experience. to live the dream sacrifices must be made and hardships overcome. it doesn't always work out as planned, but the adventure that ensues encourages us to appreciate every moment, and creates the lasting memories that keep us coming back to these magical wild places.
