1. Welcome to the first episode of Murphy's Media Memories. The first episode of this series will look at the first video I can recollect from my childhood; an anime that no one knew was an anime called "The Fantastic Adventures of Unico."

Learn about Unico's history with Hello Kitty, the unusual plot, and why even Gods hate happiness personified as a cute little, innocent baby unicorn.

  2. In 4th grade, we were given a task to write a book, and instead I wrote a book with pictures, and a maze. See the first piece of fiction I ever wrote, as I criticize it accidentally from my writing perspective of today.

This entire video was filmed in one take so I could naturally record my reactions to something I wrote and had not seen in over 20 years.

  3. Murphy's Media Memories - Jurassic Park Stolen By Carmen Sandiego Invaded By The Alien Cyborgs: THE GAME

Wow, that title is a mouthful. This here is a board game I created at the age of 12 after playing an hour of D&D, then trying to create a board game / RPG hybrid with video game influences. Lots of Fan Fiction in my game as well. It's much, much easier just to watch the video than describe all this here.

What you are seeing are my actual reactions to seeing this game for the first time in 20 years.

  4. Yes, it's time for something popular from my memories, but a little different than most people do it (since there are most likely millions of reviews of this show on the internet). In this episode, I spend a lot of time going over Morph's character arc on the series, as well as describing his comic book origins; as Morph was my favorite character. I also go over the DVD release, and how they don't show what I remember of them because I grew up with the episode premiere that was full of errors, as well as the original TV Pilot "Pryde of the X-Men" and it's arcade game. There's a quick look at episodes I remember and spin-offs that were done (comics based on cartoons based on comics, for example), and even information about the air dates versus the story order.

  5. This episode is a look at the same story on two different mediums, the graphic novel and the CD-ROM. In 1992, Marvel printed "The Origin Of The Hobgoblin" in Paperback. Then, in 1995, they printed the first two issues of that and more in the early days of the CD-ROM era. See how you can answer trivia questions, hear a message from Stan Lee, learn how to use a CD-ROM, and find out how music and videos were incorporated into the story to make it feel more 'interactive'.
