Using a much improved version of my tracker to stabilise the image.. (wobbliness is on the video itself) and I did this low res to test the concept, but it will work at any resolution and is pretty fast.
This little script mimics 3ds Max behaviour of offseting an animated object when it is transformed. This only happends when the option is toggled though... havent battle tested it, but it seems to support layers, hierachies and ik behaviour just fine :)
note1: you can toggle offset on under Preferences > Custom > Offset Curves, or through the included toolbar. You can also doc the toolbar in your interface, like i did in the video
note2: this was done in SI2013, cant guarantee compatibility with anything else
