During motor skills class this week, the boys and girls have been practicing various ways to improve their throwing and catching skills! This is a great way to strengthen eye-hand coordination, while enhancing gross motor skill development. Twice a week the students begin their motor skill class with a warm-up run to “Who Let the Dogs Out?” Mr. Davis keeps our boys and girls on the move with activities that include fitness skills, games, and manipulatives.

Many of the classes took a mini-music field trip! Students got to experience the adult church choir room and had a special presentation by a flutist and guitarist. They learned about parts of the instruments and how they worked. In addition to a lesson, they had the opportunity to sing along to some songs. Everyone loved this special treat!
