This is a Land Ops adventure conducted in the California desert in February 2013. Off road adventurers team up with two to seven vehicles per team. There are as many as four teams (28 vehicles) coordinating their progress by exchanging way point information and mutual instructions. Teams will locate geotactical caches where they find progressive instructions. Radio communication is an essential aspect for accomplishing the mission objectives. Often times the teams will be required to solve puzzles in order to unlock the coordinates to their next objective. During night operations teams may be tasked to operate under radio silence and communicate only by means of light signals.
Some of the most unique adaptations have been; search and rescue drills, satellite debris recovery, and escape and evade maneuver
Land Ops has deployed the most sophisticated and synchronized night operations in the civilian sector.
