this is my final project at Bezalel academy of Arts and Design.
this short feature demonstrates the simple of the possibilities of having the holographic shadow instead of a pda or a cell phone, or a computer for that matter.
the "ringo" interface can be applied nowadays in now time. just imagine.
"How it would be, if a house was dreaming"
The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers "Galerie der Gegenwart". Resultant permeabilty of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.
Fontplore is an interactive application designed for searching and exploring font databases.
Fontplore helps you to easily find the right typeface for your project in a collection of several thousands of fonts. It lets you browse, preview, compare and print the fonts you are interested in.
And the clou is: It does all that on an interactive table, using tangible objects to navigate and control actions, so the workflow is easy to understand - easy to grasp!

My company, Strukt, realized this installation with the node-based programming language VVVV. We built this letter-universe to functioned as a soothing ambient visual but also created type-matrix pictures and fonts to feature the participants of “The design:project”, a competition hosted by Mercedes-Benz.
The real-time animation was screened on a 20 meter wide 3x-HD projection using only one computer to create the output signals. This system was later on also used to screen content during the award ceremony. For convenience we enabled OSC commands to control the letter-universe with the help of an iPod Touch.

My company "Strukt" brought its multitouch table, called "Struktable" to the 2009 TOCA ME design conference in Munich. People were invited to play around with 5 simple demo applications the entire evening. We gathered a lot of responses and are already working on implementing the feedback in our next applications.
We used VVVV (vvvv.org) to develop the demo applications. The hardware we planned and built over the past months with the help of Ben Albrecht, Alex Dejaco and Johann Wegscheider. Also a big shout out to Thomas Pintaric for his great work on the blob detection.
We kindly thank Ritornell for providing the soundtrack for this demoreel.
