To This Day is a project based on a spoken word poem written by Shane Koyczan (shanekoyczan.com) called “To This Day”, to further explore the profound and lasting impact that bullying can have on an individual.
Schools and families are in desperate need of proper tools to confront this problem. We can give them a starting point... A message that will have a far reaching and long lasting effect in confronting bullying.
Animators and motion artists brought their unique styles to 20 second segments that will thread into one fluid voice.
This collaborative volunteer effort demonstrates what a community of caring individuals are capable of when they come together.

Locked in the cell of a Parisian psychiatric hospital, famous playwright Antonin Artaud wrestles with his exploding paraphrenia. His disease rewrites memories with fantasy, like a bad editor with a bleeding pen. Flailing at his desk to keep the madness away, Artaud resorts to concocting a spell. A magical ward consisting of words, occult signs, and strategically placed burn marks from the butt of his cigarette, he struggles to find the right gesture to bring magic to life. The Blue Head, an avatar of Artaud’s mind, flails wildly in an effort to signal Artaud from beyond the flames of his fever dream. The two go on a journey through the microcosm, uncovering plastic worlds, impossible landscapes, and eventually the skull of God Himself. The search for magic is a desperate one and Artaud’s sanity will be forfeit if he fails to find the answer behind the written page.
