  2. Nike Sportswear recently commissioned Variable to develop a personalized creative approach for one of their current campaign spots entitled, "The Chance." With Nike's guidance, we settled on a long-form spot featuring up-and-coming soccer player and fellow Brooklynite, Abdoulaye Coumbassa. The spot was designed to reflect a former interview Variable produced/directed with Spike Lee on the topic of "Drive" in conjunction with AKQA, London.

The spot focuses on a lighthearted look at the "drive" and "hustle" put forth by Abdoulaye on a daily basis. In real life, Abdoulaye is driven by the goal of being a successful soccer player whilst maintaining relationships with friends and family. Our job was to capture this "drive" in a cinematic way that could tell a story both timeless, and relatable.

This project was one in which everyone at Variable can relate very closely too. "Hustle" and "drive" are 2 words that constantly pop up in & around our studio.
