Three Bronze Age stone circles arranged in a close row aligned roughly north-east to south-west.

The northern circle has eleven stones standing and four fallen. Small marker stones indicate the sites of a further nine missing stones, and others may once have existed. This is a true circle 34.7m across and was connected to the central circle by a paved path 1.8m wide.

The central ring is slightly egg shaped, with diameters of 43.4m and 41.7m. there are fourteen upright stones and fourteen markers. A small stone 0.8m high stands just south of the centre. The circle probably contained twenty nine stones, not including the central one.

The southern circle is the most ruinous. Apparently a true circle 32.8m across, it retains only nine stones from a probable original twenty eight or twenty nine. Two are still upright; a number of the smaller ones have become overgrown.

The stones of the three circles, many of which have been re-errected, are between 0.6m and 2m tall; they appear to have been roughly dressed before being positioned. Excavation in 1935 awarded a tentative date of 1850BC to the circles.

Just to the west are 'The Pipers', apparently a pair of outlying menhirs 2.0m tall and 3.0m apart, but there are doubts to their antiquity.
