It always helps to put a beat or rhyme to our learning!

The students began researching famous Americans as a team. We practiced writing diary entries from the famous person's point of view. Then they chose the person they wanted to learn more about. The researched important information about their childhood, adulthood, and major accomplishments. The final step was to use these facts in a diary entry as a child, and then as an adult. Using the knowledge obtained about their famous person, they created a bottle replica of their famous American. Each student then chose their best letter for the video. I am especially proud of their topic sentences in hooking the reader, sentences that offer variety, and a closing to wrap up the information!
