The last part of the demo is to big so I decided to upload a smaller file. The final part of the demo will be up next Friday. This tape starts off with Marco, Nick, David, and Myself at NC State skating on of my favorite spots the "Stage". Marco was always filming so finding footage of him skating is sick. This was the perfect spot for Nick's slower methodical skating. There is also another North Ridge sesh when I was trying to bs 180 the 9. Also, baby Eric Tremmor trying a kickflip footage, part 2 coming later this week.
The rest of tape 4 is of Mark, Willis, and Timmy skating the Food Lion rail. We went to two different grocery stores to skate this night. Mark was so much better than we were and is shows. His skating was awesome, good style and tricks. We all stayed at Brian Rosar's house that night and went skating again the next day. The "10 stair gap" was another North Raleigh spot that we skated often. The filming is horrible because we didn't know what we were doing and we didn't have a fisheye. Plus, I would not let Timmy roll with the camera, butter fingers. Good Times.
Tape 4 part 1 starts off with Josh Willaford skating at the "Wedge". The spot is hard to do fliptricks in because its steep. Josh pulls out some sick moves on it. The next spot is Timmy and Nick skating the Food Lion rail on Capitol Blvd. The ramp we built looks really skatchy but they handle some tricks on the rail. The last part is at Ryan's World in Garner. This was the first time we skated with Willis Green. Mark Thompson and Bob Reynolds are in the park also just look in the background for them ripping. I think some guy was talking shit to Mark so we all started talking shit to the guy. The other part is later that night Mark and Willis skating the Food Lion rail and then the next day we went to the 10 stair gap, it will be uploaded later.
The second part of tape 3 is at NC State University. The line benches usually would be the place to warm up. Very hard to film a line at this spot because it has been destroyed by some great locals, Jed and Ty come to mind. I like how small Austin is and he can barley get on the benches. The other half of the video is at the elevator ledge. This spot was right by my dads house and its the first place I ever saw Connor skating, looking like Smolik. The lens was so dirty and I clearly didn't know how to clean it. Skating from Connor Champion, Joey Menditto, Austin Reeves, Kent Willard, Ryan Verderber, Davd Timmons, and myself.
Tape 3 is from 2004 when Project 58 had just opened. This was the first time I filmed with Justin Brock and Connor Champion, who is 14-15 at the time, and Nate Weston. The park really had a big impact on the scene. Growing up skating Ryan's World, which was nothing compared to P58, had made skating parks very hard. so, my friends and I stayed in the streets unlike today when kids stay in the park. Here is a five stair session featuring, Justin Brock, Connor Champion, Ricky Covach, TKP, Nate Weston, Steven Olliegood, and some random park kids killing themselves. Part 2 coming soon.
