Mike Hall completed the fastest circumnavigation of the Earth by bicycle in June 2012, competing in the World Cycle Racing Grand Tour, doing it in 92 days and smashing the previous Guinness World Record by almost two weeks. I was asked by Fuel PR in London to edit his video diary footage into a short film for one of his sponsors, Viva Beverages who own the Quick Energy brand energy drink. We had hours of material to sift through and it was gruelling just watching it but really impressive to see how he literally rode day and night to break the record.
I got to sit down with Chris and put portions of his race reports into a video with some footage from his race. There were almost 11 days of riding and far more days of preparation. This short video highlights the adventure.
The RAAM (Race Across America) Cycling Challenge is a 400 mile bicycle race across Southern California. The brutal course starts in San Diego County and goes as high up as Mt. Palomar and as far east as the Salton Sea before heading back towards San Diego County. Watch as cyclist Adam Bickett and his support crew attempt the solo course record in the 2014 edition of the RAAM Cycling Challenge.
« ULTRA » is a documentary film project around the athlete Jean-Marc Velez, one of few French Ultra cyclists.
As part of his preparation for the "Race Across América", the longest cycling race in the world, we followed Jean-Marc during a training of 500km through the Loire.
The occasion for us to clear up the mystery which surrounds this strange discipline.
This short film is the opportunity for us to introduce a longer project around the « Ultra » disciplines whom we develop at " Kilometre 75 ".
