Additionally, we hold regular coffee cuppings and brewing demos open to anyone free of charge.
Roasting is about creating change; colour, smell, mass, chemistry - all of these change in a matter of minutes. With a single Diedrich IR-24 and armed with the combinations of our senses, some science, and some software, we bring green coffee through a series of transformations until it reveals its true character. It is a process of trial and error, of experimentation and discovery, that plays out five days a week in our roastery.
The first step in providing you with the best coffee is a process of discovery. To achieve this we get boots on the ground at origin. We meet with producers, pickers and exporters. We visit fincas, beneficios and dry mills. And we cup ridiculous amounts of coffee until suddenly, one of them speaks to us, seduces us, and reveals itself to be something truly special and beautiful.
