  2. "Nothing is created unless it was dreamt first." / "Nista nije ostvareno dok prethodno nije odsanjano."
    Dragan Sakan, Idea Man

Instead of description: "..An interlude which I have now forcibly brought to an end by changing my life; it is intended neither to teach people nor to impose my point of view on them. Its main purpose is to help me to find my way through the maze of possibilities contained in this young and beautiful art form-still, in essence, so little explored-in order to be able to find myself, fully and independently, within it." ↵Andrei Tarkovsky

    [Camera: Canon EOS 7D]
Soundtrack: Helen Jane Long, Veliki Prezir / Lula Mae

Finalist for the short film contest featured at a private event during Sundance 2012.
The challenge was a film that inspires self expression and ignites Imagination - an uplifting force that allows us to unlock the beauty and potential hidden in the world around us. When acted upon, the effects of Imagination ripple outward, influencing and inspiring other acts of Imagination. And when imagination is expressed with the spirit of freedom of expression, it becomes even more powerful.

  3. Film project preview (video updated on August 2014)

Our vision for The Magnificent Miles, is to create a feature that will stand in its own category as a unique creation different than any other previously attempted in film and related media.

The promise of The Magnificent Miles film, is to engage audiences across the world into a physical, intimate, and visual experience encompassing the fundamental search of the human spirit for the answers to life’s purpose.

Our distinct vision, used in the development of The Magnificent Miles, takes root in the search for the internal depths of the lives featured in this film, coerced to the surface of our perceptual reality and immediately captured through the camera lens. This process of relating, affords the growth and creation of a unique, one of a kind perspective only attained through a process of submerging oneself fully into union with the observed, changing the perspective of the observer into the observed and both reside in this reality as one.

The Magnificent Miles seeks to effectively encourage people to travel the road less travelled. To journey toward a place of understanding, and empathy for our human condition. We are all in the pursuit for life, love, and the liberty of happiness.

The Magnificent Miles film, allows for a multi-dimensional perspective, allowing the viewer to seek answers to questions aroused within themselves toward their own unique self- identifying view of their place in life. The technique used in filming is very similar to my photography work, allowing the viewer to create their own connection with the images they are observing.

The point of view of this film began four years ago in Cabrini Green; Frances Cabrini Rowhouses, with this extent of perspective. The daily participants of this film have gained the ability to see beyond the surface and deliver an unbiased view of everyday human life.

The Magnificent Miles, invites you to take a journey of unshakeable faith, love, passion, growth, and an eternal optimism toward a prosperous future of happiness.

We are currently seeking funding for this film. A detailed proposal can be sent per request to anyone interested in supporting to "0.7m The Magnificent Miles."
