    Short Bio of Dr. Md. Khalequzzaman:
    --------------------------------------------------------
    Dr. Md. Khalequzzaman holds a Masters degree in Mining Engineering/Geology from Azerbaijan Institute of Petroleum and Chemistry in Baku, formerly USSR, another M.S. and a Ph.D. in Geology from University of Delaware. His areas of expertise and research include water quality and watershed management in central Pennsylvania and water-related environmental problems in Bangladesh. Dr. Khalequzzaman is a professor of Geology at Lock Haven University (LHU) since 2001. He has numerous publications on water and energy-related issues in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. He also served as the chair of the department of Geology and Physics for three years from 2005 to 2008. Prof. Khalequzzaman is a recipient of several national and international awards and research grants. He is involved in community-based watershed alliances and environmental research in both Bangladesh and Pennsylvania.

    Dr. Umme Kulsum Navera is working as a Professor in the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Dr. U K Navera holds a Master’s degree in Riverine and Coastal Engineering from Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok, Thailand and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering Cardiff University, United Kingdom. Her areas of expertise and research include model development for predicting wave-current interactions, sediment transport process analysis in near-shore coastal waters, wave hydrodynamics and beach erosion problems in Bangladesh.

    Dr. Md. Sabbir Mostafa Khan is working as a Professor in the Department of Water Resources Engineering, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Dr. Md. Sabbir Mostafa holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from University of California, Los Angeles, USA. His areas of expertise and research include Hydrology, Mathematical Modeling and Climate Change issues. He is a Fellow member of The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) and also elected there as a member of Civil Engineering Divisional Committee for the Term 2013-2014.

    Dr. Md. Munsur Rahman is a Professor and Director of Institute of Water and Flood Management Department (IWFM), Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Dr. Md. Munsur Rahman holds a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Kyoto University, Japan. His areas of expertise and research can be grouped into River channel processes, River training and bank protection, Indigenous approach on river and floodplain management, Bridge hydraulics and other river related problems in Bangladesh . He is a member of The Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), International Association for Hydro-Environment Engineering and Research (IAHR) and Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE).
