An old man's last light bulb has died. He must now go out and collect the light by fishing. While he is out, the old man encounters an inquisitive young boy who is eager to figure out what the old man is doing with all his strange contraptions. When the old man finally gives in to the pressure, he shows the little boy the lights in the river and catches one. His heart turned, the man decides to give the boy the now-lit bulb. The aged man returns home, eager to replace all his dead bulbs.
